Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Haircut (Fade or Taper Fade).

Most fades take 30–45 minutes depending on complexity, hair length, and detail required. Blow-out tapers or intricate designs can add time. Your barber will confirm estimated duration when you book or during your consultation before cutting begins.

Clean hair helps your barber see natural growth patterns and create a more precise fade. If you can, arrive with washed, towel-dried hair; however, we can shampoo and prep hair in-shop if needed, so don’t worry if you can’t.

To keep a fresh, sharp fade, schedule touch-ups every 2–4 weeks. Shorter, skin-tight fades need more frequent maintenance; longer tapers can go a bit longer. Your barber will recommend a personalized schedule based on your style and hair growth.

Absolutely. Photos help communicate your desired look and give the barber a clear reference. Bring multiple angles if possible; we'll adapt the style to your head shape, hair texture, and lifestyle to ensure the result suits you.

Be specific about how high you want the fade, how short on top, and whether you prefer a skin, low, mid, or high fade. Mention sideburn style, part placement, and any previous issues like cowlicks or sensitive areas.

Use a lightweight pomade or matte paste for texture and hold, and a quality brush or comb to style daily. Finish with a small trimmer or barber scissors for occasional edge-ups; your barber will recommend products based on your hair type.
